- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector.
- Name it Football API and paste the server address:
https://footballapi.org/mcp - Press Connect. Sign in with Google if you are not signed in here, then press Allow.
- Ask a football question; Claude picks the tool.
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors, and create a connector.
- Name it Football API and paste the server address:
https://footballapi.org/mcp - Choose OAuth, create it, then sign in with Google and press Allow.
- Turn it on in a chat and ask a football question.

PLANS AND LIMITS
Each tool call is one API call, counted like any other: the complimentary key reads this season's Premier League, 50 calls a day; membership reads all 68 competitions and live scores with no daily ceiling. When a question reaches past your plan, the tool says so and names membership, and the assistant tells you.
